This rug is knotted in the city of Yazd in southern Persia. The patterns are often inspired by Keshan carpets. The carpet has a very detailed pattern, often with a medallion in the center and a high pile. In the changing color scale, there is often a characteristic violet-red color and blues. 

This rug represents the fountain of life with birds, a very rare in the piece and hard to come by. A timeless piece which will appreciate in value over time.
