DESCRIPTION: This rug is woven in the village, Gharajeh) located in the NW region of Iran, about 35 miles from the weaving center of Tabriz.
This type of rug is knotted by hand in smaller towns and villages in old tradition. Even nomads still knot Persian rugs in the open air. The rugs are knotted without a draft and completely from the mind. They are characterized by classical ornaments, which are arranged in straight and geometrical patterns. Thanks to their cultural-traditional origin, these rugs have a unique character that embodies ancient Persia.
