Rugs from this district can vary in style but in general are excellent in quality with beautiful natural dyes and are exceptionally durable. The older, more unique rugs from this district are extremely valuable and are collectible pieces.

RUGS WOVEN BY NOMADS: Nomads move continuously and do not stay permanently in one geographic region. They weave handmade carpets on collapsible looms. Due to that fact there may be slight variations in weaving and the different shades of wool with sometimes uneven in shape giving it a real feeling of a genuine nomadic handicraft. The weaving is made from memory and it depends on each artisans momentary inspiration. The workmanship is of high quality from hand spun wool to preparing the natural dyes from organic plants and roots to dye the wool in different colors in preparation for weaving. Persian Handmade rugs have a timeless appeal which transcends the whims of fashion, and are one of the most sustainable and eco-friendly flooring options available. Each unique design represents the artistic vision and fine craftsmanship by the hand of the weaver.
