DESCRIPTION:
This rug is knotted in workshops in the city of Kerman in southeastern Persia. The ground colour is often red, and the pattern is dominated by a large medallion and a wide border filled with flowers. Kerman rugs were considered to be the best among the Persian rugs. Pictorial Kerman rugs are very rare and highly collectible pieces.
