DESCRIPTION:
The Bakhtiari rug is famous for its pattern with different squared garden motifs. The carpet is very durable and can also occur with medallions. The wool is considered to be the best in Persia since the wool comes from sheep which graze in the mountains thus making the wool fat and shiny. These beautiful carpets are often collector's items among the Persian carpets.
These are made of durable wool and are beaten very hard, which makes them thick and solid and they are considered to be among the most durable of Persian carpets. A well-known pattern is the Khesti (garden motif)
