DESCRIPTION:
This rug is knotted in northwestern Persia. The rug is often large and very durable and therefore suitable for hallways and public environments with high traffic areas. The wool is cut short to an average length.
The city of Heriz is situated in the northwest of Iran/Persia, not far from the greater city of Tabriz. In the city and its surroundings carpets are manufactured with a pattern that is easily recognized; in the center there is a large right-angled medallion with large marked corner sections. Large carpets are mainly made by fairly rough yarn on cotton warp with a rustic design. Heriz carpets, with its high wool quality, are well known for their durability and hardiness, and are very suitable for hallways and dining-rooms. One of a kind rug to enhance your home.
